A button on the Dashboard is greyed out when you can't use it right now. The reason shows on the button, or in a box at the top of the page.

| Not started yet | The activation starts on a later date | Come back on the start date |
| Paused | Your manager has paused the activation | Ask your manager when it will resume |
| Ended or Cancelled | The activation is over | Nothing to record. Ask your manager if this is wrong |
| Paused: subscription expired | Your organisation's subscription needs renewing | See Subscription expired |
| No activation | You haven't been added to an activation | Ask your manager to add you |
| No products to sell in this activation | No products have been added | Ask your manager |
| None left | That item is out of stock | Ask your manager to restock |
