This policy explains what personal data Moments Analytics collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the portals at momentsanalytics.com and this website.
1. Who we are
Moments Analytics is a platform for running brand activations and reporting on them. It is provided by BrandSauce, in Ghana (“we”, “us”).
When agencies and brands (our “customers”) use Moments Analytics to run their activations, they decide what data is collected about their promoters and shoppers, and we process it for them. For the accounts of our customers’ own staff, and for this website, we decide how data is used.
2. What we collect
Account holders (admins, managers and brand viewers): name, email address, phone number, role, the organisation you belong to, sign-in history and security settings such as two-step sign-in.
Promoters: name, phone number, the activations you are assigned to, and the sales, product samples, brand merchandise and game plays you record. When your phone has already allowed it, a sale can include the device’s location, to show where it was made.
Shoppers and members of the public: only a phone number. It is used to send a one-time code to collect a sample, merchandise item or prize, to make sure each person collects once, and to record a game play or a sale. Phone numbers are masked on shared screens such as tablets, TVs and kiosks.
Billing: invoices, the plan you are on and payment records. Card payments are handled by Paystack; we never see or store full card numbers.
Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and logs we need to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we use it
- To provide Moments Analytics: sign-in, recording activity, reports and dashboards.
- To send the messages the service depends on: sign-in codes, collection codes, invitations and notices.
- To bill for subscriptions and issue invoices.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep an audit log of changes.
- To give support and to improve the service.
- To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
We process personal data in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). We rely on the contract with our customers to provide the service, on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and working, on legal obligations for billing records, and on consent where the law requires it. Our customers are responsible for having a lawful basis, and giving any notice needed, for the data they collect about their promoters and shoppers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep data for as long as the customer’s account is active and the report history on their plan needs it. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. When an account closes, we delete or anonymise its data within a reasonable time, unless we must keep it by law.
7. How we protect it
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored hashed, sign-in sessions can be ended on every device, two-step sign-in is available, repeated failed sign-ins lock the account for a time, access is limited by role, and changes are recorded in an audit log. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects your data we will tell the people affected and the Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you can object to how it is used. If the data was collected by one of our customers, for example at an activation, we may pass your request to them.
Email brandsaucedigital@gmail.com to make a request. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
10. Children
Moments Analytics accounts are for adults acting for a business. Customers should not use it to collect data from children without the consent the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date and version at the top show when it last changed, and we will tell account holders about important changes.
